Cacao Farmer, Phong Dien
In the war, he was a jet pilot for the Southern Vietnamese army flying F4 Phantom jets. After the war, being on the losing side he was ostracised (a common outcome for the the Southern Vietnamese soldiers and their families), he couldn't get work. So, he retreated to his village and grew cacao. We enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate, a bar of dark chocolate and a few glasses of cacao wine amongst the cacao trees next to his house.
